What is DNS?

DNS - Domain name service translate IP address to a domain name which is more human friendly to remember. For example, saying that we want to navigate on Google, it is a way easier to remember google.com (the domain name) than the IP address of the Google web server. DNS is a service that work over the TCP protocol.

DNS over TLS (DoT) or DNS over HTTPS (DoH) are DNS encrypted protocol. NSCrypt also encrypt communication between the host and the name server.
