Installation
Installation
CME can be installed by cloning the GitHub repository and using the Poetry package management, using Docker or by downloading the binary. In my opinion, I think it easiest to opt for the Docker installation. Every instruction for a proper installation can be found in the Official Documentation.
Installation with Poetry
Linux
On Linux, the Python dependency management package Poetry is recommended. We can install Poetry with the following command:
Then, we can install the required dependencies
We also need to install Rust
We are now ready to install CME using Poetry dependency and management package.
Activate the Poetry virtual environment and run CME
Deactivate and exit the Poetry shell
Installation Docker 🐳
Building it from source using the Dockerfile.
Building it from source is recommended since we ensure that we have the latest version.
Run the Docker Container based on the image crackmapexec
Restarting and/or rentering the Docker Container
Binaries
We can found the binary for CME on MacOS, Windows and Linux here. Python is needed on the host to be able to run CME. For Windows, we can download python executable here.
On Windows, we might need to set the Long Path Registry Key
